Tami (she/her)+ MJ (he/him) are two lovely and down to Earth individuals. They reached out and we immediately clicked! They told me they wanted to be fully present on their wedding day, and have colorful photos that captured and reflected their experience. Almost all their images in the gallery are fully candid/documentary except for a few during their portraits on the beach and some with their dogs - but as you can see even during those more hands on images they were still fully present in the moment with each other. I feel so grateful for couples who want to live in the now and trust me to capture it.

I arrived at Tami’s parents home in Highland park and everyones energy was so relaxed and simultaneously buzzing with excitement. We headed over to a nearby beach and grabbed some couples portraits to calm the nerves before heading back to the house for their ceremony and signing of the Ketubah. During the ceremony their family watched from each side of the Chuppah. Rainbow streamers were passed around for their first kiss and precessional. After, they had a moment alone while their family chatted and enjoyed some sushi and cocktails before being rejoined by the newlyweds. I adore backyard weddings, something so intimate and special about you n’ your favorite people coming together to watch and celebrate your life long commitment <3
